Waltz-Astoria is an unique performance space and artistic minded wine/desert
bar located in Astoria (LIC), a cozy neighborhood that overlooks the city of Manhattan from across the East River.
Established in 2005, Waltz has presented over 600 shows range from Classical trios to hip hop and world
music. Waltz is the home to French Gypsy guitarist Stephane Wrembel, Uruguay piano virtuoso Gustavo Casenave, French Saxphonist Alex Terrier, hip hop artist
Hops, swinging jazz duo Connie Brooks and Ryan Olsen,
and the ultra smooth poetry/jazz ensemble Anonymous 7.
Waltz is also an avid collaborator with local music and performing arts organisations,
incl. Astoria Music Society, Astoria Performing Arts Center, Women's Writing Studio, Astorians for Peace and Justice, Astoria
Jazz Composers' Workshop, and most recently Project: Theater.
Waltz-Astoria is known for being the host to many community events and parties. It's
monthly Meet & Greet Party has been a favorite among locals and new residents of Astoria. Waltz also offers low-cost rental
to independent musicians, artists and filmmakers for various non-performance related projects, helping to promote creativity
inside the city of Astoria and Long Island City.
