Coffee, wine and great entertainment at Waltz Astoria
Performers that played at the Waltz Astoria

There was always something going on at the Waltz Astoria! It was one of the best venues for live entertainment for miles around. It was especially unique because of the wide range of entertainment that would be on. It wasn’t just a music venue, or a comedy venue. There were also theatrical performances, spoken word readings, wine tasting events, family fun events and much more.

We take a look at some of the acts that were on over the years at the Waltz Astoria…

Holy Ghost Tent Revival

Their rootsy soul inspired rock and roll music certainly set the scene for a lively atmosphere when Holy Ghost Tent Revival plated the Waltz Astoria. They’re still going strong, with an album released in 2016 and they also tour often. They really are a great band to see live, catch them if you get the chance!

Twin Kennedy

The gorgeous Kennedy twins, Carli and Julie have been making music together since they were tiny. Growing up in a musical family, it was almost inevitable they would end up as popular performers. They’re both classically trained and with their vocals, and their blend of guitar and violin, you’re in for a country music treat if you get to see these girls play.

Jen Perney

Jen Perney is hilarious. A native New York comedienne, she’s been doing stand up for many years now. She’s also a writer and an actor, so you might recognise her face. This is one for the adults only though as her performances have been described as ‘pervy and in your face’!

Emily Schiavi

A pianist with a beautiful voice to boot, the haunting melodies of Emily Schiavi will capture you and keep you en-rapt throughout her performances.

Suzy Sellout

Suzy Sellout is a vibrant and energy packed performer. A regular at the Waltz Astoria, her songs have a story, and she’s been likened to Tori Amos.

Lance Weiss

New York comedian Lance Weiss performs regularly in NYC and he’s always worth seeing. You’ll find plenty of clips of his performances online, check them out. If you like what you see, then get yourself along to see him live.
